Xmas spending

Xmas spending

Please be mindful this Xmas & Festive Season.

There is so much excess, so much waste, so much consumer & society pressure with expenditure.

A gift should be thoughtful & from the heart, not something hastily purchased just for show.

It should be what you can afford to give.

To say I’m thinking of you, thank you, you are my friend, I love you.

It shouldn’t matter if it’s worth $5 or $50, it’s the thought that counts.

I would take a flower hand picked from the garden than an extravagant bunch designed to impress, but thoughtless, any day of the week.

Some of my most prized & loved possessions are simple handmade things my boys made with so much love as kids.

How often do you see kids getting expensive presents, then have more fun playing with all the paper & boxes?

How many times do you get sucked into impulse buying?

Finding yourself with a burnt out credit card & financial hangover for months?

Have you put a financial noose around your neck needing to have a fancy excessive Christmas?

Are you getting sucked in with commercialism & putting yourself under financial pressure?

Or was it on special & impulse took over, you just had to have it to add it to the 10 pairs of shoes on the rack you already don’t wear, adding to the mighty stack of stuff you already have?

Remember it’s not a good deal if you don’t need it.

It’s called the silly season for a reason.

Is it worth it?

There’s a big difference between wants & needs………

What’s more valuable presents or presence?

Something to ponder.

Love, light & blessings
